New Alternative Pathway Scholarship:
To be eligible for the Brisbane Scholarship, you must be an international student currently studying in Australia, having completed an onshore English language program, Australian Year 12, a vocational program, or a minimum of six months of higher education study. Even if you have been granted a release from your current registered provider or are in the process of applying for an onshore Student Visa in Australia, you could still be considered for the scholarship.
For undergraduate and postgraduate international students, it is crucial to maintain a full-time study load of 1 EFTSL (Equivalent Full-Time Student Load) throughout a 12-month study period to continue benefiting from the scholarship.
The scholarship exclusively covers tuition fees for the first attempt subjects only. If you retake a subject that you previously failed, the full price will be charged. Additionally, please be aware that any course changes during your study period may render the scholarship inapplicable.
New Brisbane Scholarship: Introducing the New Brisbane Scholarship for international students commencing their studies at Brisbane campuses in 2023. Please note that the Design, Business, and Health merit scholarships have additional academic requirements.
Regional scholarships are awarded based on the new international student passport, and students from other regions may receive scholarships valued at up to 30%. However, please be aware that this scholarship does not apply to students undertaking the Bachelor of Nursing program.
Like the preceding scholarship, both undergraduate and postgraduate international students must uphold a full-time study load of 1 EFTSL during a 12-month study period to preserve their scholarship. The scholarship solely encompasses tuition fees for initial attempts at subjects, and if a subject needs to be retaken due to prior failure, the full cost will be applicable. Additionally, it’s important to note that any alterations to the course during the study period may not be covered by the scholarship.
In addition to the general eligibility criteria, students must demonstrate an overall band score of 6.5 or higher in IELTS (or equivalent) and achieve a minimum credit average in their previous studies. For undergraduate students, this pertains to their prior high school studies, and for postgraduate students, it refers to their previous bachelor’s degree.
Offshore Online Scholarship: The scholarship targets full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students who will be undertaking their entire course online from an offshore location. Similar to previous scholarships, it exclusively covers tuition fees for initial attempts at subjects. If a subject needs to be retaken due to previous failure, the full cost will be incurred. However, it’s important to highlight that new international students enrolling in the Master of Business Administration (On Demand) course are ineligible for this scholarship but may be eligible for a 25% scholarship instead.
Design and Creative Technology Merit Scholarship: Similar to various other scholarships, the scholarship requires full-time undergraduate and postgraduate international students to maintain a 1 EFTSL study load throughout a 12-month period. It encompasses tuition fees for initial attempts at subjects, but retaking a subject due to previous failure incurs the full cost. It’s important to note that any course changes made during the study period may not be eligible for scholarship coverage. The evaluation process for this scholarship takes into account the applicant’s credit average in prior academic studies, relevant design work experience, and the submission of an exceptional portfolio.
Alumni Scholarship:
In order to qualify for the Alumni Scholarship, candidates must be new international students with a prior academic history at Strategic Education Inc. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students must maintain a full-time study load of 1 EFTSL (Equivalent Full-Time Study Load) throughout a 12-month study period. The scholarship specifically covers tuition fees for initial attempts at subjects, and subjects retaken due to previous failures will be subject to the full price charge.
